Mid Atlantic Life Safety Conference
The Mid Atlantic Life Safety Conference (MALSC) is a one-day educational event in Maryland that offers participants a wide variety of contemporary educational subjects in fire protection, emergency medical and community preparedness services. The conference is intended to be a face to face gathering on the last Tuesday in September every year. Attendees can choose from a variety of presentations after an opening conference key note presentation. A conference registration fee includes provision for didactic presentations, break refreshments and a sit down luncheon. MALSC results from the collaborative efforts of Maryland public and private as well as United States Federal safety partners that include Fire and Burn Safety Coalition of Maryland, Inc (FABSCOM); Maryland Emergency Management Agency (MEMA); Maryland Fire & Rescue Institute (MFRI); Maryland Fire Chief's Association (MFCA); Office of the State Fire Marshal; Fire Safety Research Institute (FSRI); Maryland Institute for Emergency Medical Services Systems (MIEMSS), Maryland State Firemen's Association (MSFA); National Fire Sprinkler Association (NFSA); United States Fire Administration (USFA). MALSC started in 1959 as the Maryland Governor’s Fire Prevention Conference. It has been going strong ever since.
Why does FABSCOM ask for monetary donations?
FABSCOM depends completely on donations to acquire the funding we use to help keep Marylanders safe. FABSCOM's facilitation of the Mid Atlantic Life Safety Conference depends on monetary donations to help fund the event and keep costs low for attendees. We appreciate the kindness of our supporters and those that donate their time and money to help in our mission to make Marylanders safer in their homes.
